Describe your job at C&A.
I provide a cool head and proactive optimism to the team and love to look at every project from as many perspectives as I can to figure out how everything fits and moves forward together.
If you had to choose 3 words to describe your role at C&A, what would they be?
Perspective, resourcefulness, rigor.
If you had to choose 3 words to describe yourself, what would they be?
Grit, intuition, versatility.
What inspires you?
The natural world and the potential of the unknown is great inspiration. The depth and power of great art to inspire and bring about new ways of thinking is awesome too.
What is your favorite project you’ve worked on?
So far, I’ve most enjoyed building and analyzing brand workshops. Integrating into and supporting external teams has been an excellent learning experience. I’m also very excited about what is still to come from Copy & Art. Expect big things!
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I have done a fair amount of photography, which I enjoy. I build and create things with an ever-expanding collection of power tools. And I love the great outdoors and all that comes with it.
What is a fun fact about you?
I grew up in Zimbabwe and have a scar from a lion attack (it was a baby lion, and the scar is not that exciting).
What tools or apps can’t you live without?
Plain and simple Notes app is a pillar of my process. As is a blank sheet of paper with a good pen. I also can’t get through the day without a thesaurus. I do love the nuance of word choice.
How do you work through a creative block?
Allowing myself some time for a research deep-dive with a nice cup of tea is usually a good start. Picking at the insights and perspectives of co-workers is also an incredible resource.
Do you like to travel? How many countries (or US states) have you visited?
I love to travel. I’ve been to 31 countries and 21 states. Would love to explore more out West and get to South America.
